End To End: New Hampshire
First person to run the length of New Hampshire, raising money for awareness of Type 1 Diabetes, while pushing the limits of endurance in a trek across the state of New Hampshire. Approximately 262 miles through the beautiful mountains and landscape of the northeast.
My Mission
My name is Benjamin Hadden and at the age of three, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, and it has been a constant throughout my life. For many years, I allowed it to define my boundaries and limit what I believed was possible. The daily calculations, the blood sugar monitoring, the insulin adjustments—they became reasons to hold back rather than push forward.
But something changed when I discovered my passion for endurance challenges. With each race I ran, each boundary I pushed, I began to rewrite my relationship with Type 1 diabetes. What once felt like a limitation gradually transformed into a unique strength—teaching me resilience, precision, and an intimate understanding of how my body operates when pushing it to its limits.
This journey across New Hampshire isn't just about covering 262 miles on foot. It's about demonstrating to the millions living with Type 1 diabetes—especially young people who might be questioning their capabilities—that this condition doesn't have to hold you back from pursuing extraordinary goals. It's about transforming perceived limitations into launching points for remarkable achievements.
The challenge ahead is immense: averaging 40 miles daily for seven consecutive days across varied terrain. It will push the boundaries of what's physically possible while managing blood glucose levels, nutrition, and recovery. But that's precisely the point—to show that with proper planning, determination, and support, the boundaries we often accept can be completely redefined.
